Editors and Manuscript assessors (commercial)

The ALAA encourages writers to seek out, compare and evaluate the services of editors and manuscript assessors. They can provide a very valuable service for writers. Please note, though, that the ALAA does not recommend or endorse any particular manuscript assessor. These businesses are listed here as a public service. They have no connection with any member agency, and a positive report from any of them does not oblige any of our members to consider any writer’s work. The ALAA code of practice says that ‘No agent shall charge a reading fee or an editor’s fee and if they do so they shall not qualify for membership.’
